Greenwood Fire Foundation's Mobility Program

Each year, over 14 million adults aged 65 and older experience falls in the United States, leading to millions of emergency room visits, hospitalizations, and a significant number of deaths. In 2023 alone, the Greenwood Fire Department responded to 422 requests for lift assists, highlighting the critical need for mobility support in our community.

The Greenwood Fire Foundation’s Mobility Program is dedicated to helping individuals in need of mobility aids, such as wheelchairs, walkers, scooters, and other assistive devices. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for those facing mobility challenges by providing resources that enable greater independence and participation in daily activities.

How You Can Help:

  • Gently Used Mobility Equipment: Donate gently used mobility aids to help someone in need.

  • Monetary Donations: Financial contributions support the purchase of new equipment and ensure we can continue providing vital resources.
